My friend owns a live performance venue in the metro Atlanta area. He is very protective of his investment in the business. As he should be! It’s a great venue. You will see I mention that in my response HERE:
M—, it is possible you are behind on the info about this situation. Let me share some info with you.
There was due process. Reference the 2019 court cases against Garcia; one wherein when asked why he shouldn't be sent back to El Salvador he said it was because he would be killed by rival gangs. He was asked to clarify that statement which then elicited the response that, okay, yes, he was a member of MS-13.
When arrested he was in the company of other gang members, so clearly he was still active. He was not "disappeared" off the street. He was not kidnapped. He was arrested and that arrest was documented (I mean, you know this because it was all over the news).
He was not a nice man. Further, his wife had taken out two protection orders against him because he beat on her.
Garcia is still a citizen of El Salvador who was in the US without properly — legally — applying to be here. He remained an active member of a criminal gang involved in major criminal activities. MS-13, which is spread across the US, was designated as a threat to US citizens. So he was sent back to his native country where he is a citizen.
Now, El Salvador for far too long has had weak leadership that allowed all sorts of gangs and other criminal activity to go unchecked. The new duly elected president said that was enough. He proceeded to drop the hammer on two classes of criminals. And you know what? The country went from having the highest murder rate in the world to the citizens able to live without fear.
That is not a bad thing. In fact, it's a good thing.
Now, the two classes of criminals are housed in two separate facilities. One is where GANG members are housed. They are the worst of the worst. That is at CECOT. Those videos are easily found.
BUT, and this may be of interest to you, another prison system is also in place. Here is the link to that:
In that prison, the inmates are taught skills such as farming, animal husbandry, medical, fabrication, mechanical repair, sewing, cooking, and more. The inmates have a tight schedule wherein they learn these. They grow all their own food to feed prisoners. They sew prison uniforms and all uniforms for the military, police forces, etc., saving everybody a lot of money.
When they get out, they have skills. Skills they did not have before when the country was in disarray.
Now, I know you, M—. And I can guarantee — because I've seen it — when people come into your place of business and they start tearing up anything, you speak right up, even banning them from your place. I daresay you’ve even kicked out a few in your time and everybody is happy when you keep your customers safe from idiots and those who want to destroy.
That’s all that happened to Garcia. And yes, he had plenty of due process, as mentioned earlier. Radical judges are bringing in the next wave of lawfare and trying to fool you (and others) into helping “tear down the house”. You don’t want your “house” torn down. And neither do US citizens.
END REPLY TO M—
Then M— replied to me this:
I’m following the r/law subreddit for the latest on this. The federal judge and the Supreme Court both agreed he was illegally removed and given no due process. “Terrorist” or “gang member” is not the point here. The judicial branch rules this republican administration illegally removed him and must bring him back. They defied the court orders. Plain and simple.
My reply was:
Yes, I am aware of this, but thanks for sharing the video, M—. I looked up the order from SCOTUS. https://www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/24pdf/24a949_lkhn.pdf is the link. You will note the following:
1) Garcia was removed 3/15/25.
2) The Government realized they had made a mistake in how quick they did it (habeas corpus situation), but he was gone by then.
3) 4/4/25 a District Court required the US to bring him back. Even if they wanted to, they cannot because...
4) Garcia is viewed as a gang member by the country of which he is a citizen and they have said they will not knowingly return a citizen of their country (who is a criminal) to another country.
5) So, the US Government is happy with that outcome, but even if they were not, if another sovereign nation will not send their citizen back, then it isn’t a case of '“breaking the law” so much as their hands are tied. So...what are they supposed to do? Sneak in and break him out? They cannot do that.
6) SCOTUS’ order says, reasonably so, in part, “The District Court should clarify its directive, with due regard for the deference owed to the Executive Branch in the conduct of foreign affairs. For its part, the Government should be prepared to share what it can concerning the steps it has taken and the prospect of further steps."
But that’s not the spin media is putting on it.
Upshot
I am sure M— will have more to say and if he does say anything worth responding to, I will update this post and send it out again.
FOUR HOURS LATER:
M— replied. He gave me another link to a TheHill[dot]com article, but listed the five points for me. But then he said, “Drop it. Let this conversation go.”
And thus I did…with him.
However, in all the years I’ve known him, I’ve never once heard him bring up habeas corpus as it relates to US citizens of which, as we all know, the J6-ers and thousands of others still inmates in the stateside prison system for minor offenses have been or are still victims.
But you see, I just learned something about M— that, frankly, I’m quite unhappy about.
M— is a quockerwodger.
Quockerwodgers have no mind of their own.
Quockerwodgers wait for someone to yank their chain before they move.
Quockerwodgers don’t even choose when or how they move.
Quockerwodgers always do what they are told.
Quockerwodgers don’t know how to do research unless it is handed to them on a plate.
His reliance on highly propagandized Reddit threads should’ve told me all this.
Poor M—. Maybe one day he will become a real boy.
